In a world of skyrocketing higher education costs and a growing need for skilled healthcare professionals, Re'Shane and Steven Lonzo saw an opportunity to provide a solution.  In 2002 DRM International Learning Center was born: a private, state-licensed vocational school. When faced with the need to access additional capital, Re`Shane reached out to the Michigan SBDC for assistance.

During the past year, many articles have been written about the shortage of truckers and how that contributes to supply chain issues. This problem was seen as an opportunity by Hassan Abdi. With assistance from Ahmed Mohidin, Professional Business Consultant from the Central Region SBDC, Abdi was able to launch Gatamow Logistics, LLC. A ribbon-cutting ceremony at the SBDC recently celebrated the launch.
