McCook Bee Little Childcare & Preschool Expanding
Bee Little Childcare & Preschool in McCook, Neb., is growing faster than the children it serves. Amanda and Josh Mullen worked with the Nebraska SBDC in late 2019 for help purchasing an existing childcare center. “It was huge for me,” Amanda recalls. “I could walk into the bank with the needed information and feel much more confident.” They purchased the center in May 2020 and have since tripled the number of teachers and staff and quadrupled the number of children in their care. In 2022, they secured a second location – a pre-existing childcare that had closed due to COVID-19. They have been working hard getting the facility ready and hiring another 10 to 12 staff members.
