WOMEN-OWNED

Bakety Bake saw their sales grow from $2000 to $100,000 within a year

Kourtney started Bakety Bake in 2018, just after having her 4th baby as a way to earn extra income and to be creative. It began as a home-based bakery, where she sold custom decorated sugar cookies. In baking and decorating thousands of sugar cookies, she found the market was really lacking a meringue powder for making royal icing that was easy to use and didn't taste like cardboard. This led Kourtney to begin producing a higher quality meringue powder for royal icing. Kourtney experienced rapid growth and quickly outgrew her home kitchen. The SBDC helped Kourtney to scale up her business, develop her online presence, develop her tarde show presence and get her bookkeeping up to date so that Kourtney can track her progress and margins.
