Cup of Life Healing changes lives in Rural Keene, NH

Michael Hurley and Tricia (Satya) opened the Cup of Life Healing Center in 2014 in rural Keene, NH. The Center provides patient-centered, holistic healthcare. They focus on women's health, chronic conditions, and mood energy healing. After years of running their business and trying to wear all the hats, Michael and Satya reached out for help from NH SBDC. “No matter what aspect we talk with him about, our advisor has a highly effective way of helping us break down and prioritize our next steps. He always knows precisely which additional resources to connect us with – such as co-advisors with specific expertise and other SBDC programs or grants. We feel as if we can do just about anything with the fantastic support of SBDC advising.”

The Gardners, a husband and wife team, operate a successful chiropractic clinic in rural Olean

After earning their degrees at the Palmer College of Chiropractic, Sam and Emily Gardner decided they wanted to work together and open a chiropractic clinic in rural Olean. They worked with Advisor Dan Hickman to develop a business plan, draft financial projections and create a marketing plan for the new business. All their work came to fruition when they opened the doors of Gardner Chiropractic in December 2021. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the Gardners have built a steady stream of clients, added new revenue streams with retail items, hired additional staff, and are planning to expand their services with more therapeutic options. Emily commented, “Danny and SBDC were a major reason why we were able to open up our business!”
